The Scientific Council of the Fonds Ricœur (Ricoeur Collection) determines the main directions, guides its establishment and proposes or directs colloquia, study days and publications.
Appointed by the Institut Protestant de Théologie, Faculté de Paris, which owns the Fonds Ricœur, the council leads its development, its cataloguing and architectural design. The Scientific Council ensures the intellectual direction and the functioning of the Fonds Ricoeur through colloquia and publications. It contributes to the development of the Internet site of the Fonds Ricœur and recommends conferences and partnerships with other institutions to the Institut Protestant de Théologie.
The Scientific Council is made up of figures (appointed by the Institut Protestant de Théologie) who elect one of their members as president. They have a three year tenure which can be renewed twice. Researchers, translators and friends of Paul Ricœur who live abroad have always constituted a rich and vibrant network, which will be very precious in the dissemination of the Ricoeur Collection’s work. These correspondents/ambassadors are invited to contribute to the Council’s work when they come to Paris.
