Center of research
Beyond being a documentary collection which is the philosopher’s workshop, the Fonds Ricœur is at the core of an activity of publications, colloquia and meetings on themes that freely develop diverse aspects of Ricœur’s work.
Colloquia and study days
Colloquia list since 2005
The Fonds Ricœur not only aims at debating the philosopher’s work, but also at pursuing the diverse dialogues he initiated, notably at the transitional areas between phenomenology, hermeneutics and analytic philosophy. Generally speaking, its work is all about pursuing these philosophical conversations with non-philosophical material: literature, history, social studies but also law, political theory etc.
The cross-national, European and global dimension of these dialogues is honoured, along with international colloquia, by welcoming researchers for abroad and by linking together researchers working on these subjects. The Fonds Ricoeur regularly receives researchers from all over the world in partnership with several Parisian higher education institutions, such as the École des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (EHESS), with a system of grants.

The Fonds Ricœur develops, along with the publishing house Editions du Seuil, a policy of publishing a collection of texts that are now impossible to get hold off, as well as of symposiums proceedings. It supports, in partnership with the Association for Ricœur’s Studies, an online magazine, Ricoeur Studies (ERRS).
